Gun-Shooting Drone Teen Arrested for Child Pornography

A Clinton teen has made another headline, this time for child pornography charges.

CLINTON, CT- A Clinton teenager behind the gun-shooting drone has been arrested on child pornography charges, according to media reports.

Austin Haughwout was arrested Wednesday for child pornography after a long investigation, according to WTNH News 8. Police obtained an arrest warrant for Haughwout after a number of charges were brought against him, including enticing a minor with a computer and fourth-degree attempt at sexual assault.

Haughwout previously came to the public’s attention in July 2015 when he created a video featuring a drone with a semiautomatic handgun mounted to it. He was then expelled from Central Connecticut State University, where he was a student, in March of 2016 for allegedly threatening a student.

He had first made headlines back in May 2014, when a woman was charged for attacking him after he flew his drone over a beach. The incident was caught on video.
