Harry Raymond Hurley obituary: Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, East Haven

Harry Raymond Hurley 94 of Northford, passed away peacefully on May 15, 2026 in Sebastian, Florida. Harry was born in West Haven to the late Harry Thomas Hurley and Blanche (Patenaude) Hurley. He grew up in West Haven and graduated from West Haven High School and The University of Connecticut.

Harry worked for Applied Data Processing, where he met his beloved wife, Linda Marie Reiss with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He leaves behind his wife Linda Marie Hurley of Northford, and five children, Kevin (Sharon) Hurley of Wallingford, Patricia (Rick) Barletta of Wallingford, Kathleen (Mark) Riordan of Cheshire, Jonathan Hurley of Clinton, and Heather (Matthew) Mahon of Northford. He also leaves behind six grandchildren, Scott Hurley, Shawn (Kay) Mahon, Candace Hurley, Kyle (Nicole) Hurley, Kaitlin (Paul) Perrotti, and Amanda Mahon and one great-granddaughter, Aishlyn Hurley.

Harry was a happy-go-lucky Irishman beloved by all. He was kind, generous, helpful and always full of fun and laughter. Harry served in The US Navy during the Korean War and was a member of The Governor's Foot Guard. He enjoyed golfing and listening to "Old Time Radio". His family will greatly miss his company and all encompassing love.

Family will receive friends on Friday June 26, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM in the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven. All are welcome to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 27 at 10 AM in St. Monica Church, 1331 Middletown Ave., Northford CT with burial to follow with US Navy Honors at East Lawn Cemetery, East Haven.
