House And Car Fire Reported In Clinton, Fire Officials Say

Crews managed multiple incidents simultaneously, including a utility pole crash, an I-95 vehicle fire, and an appliance fire in a home.

CLINTON, CT — The Clinton Volunteer Fire Department experienced a busy start to its day, responding to six calls for service before 12:30 PM. Department members managed multiple incidents simultaneously to address community needs.

Among the calls, Clinton firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident where a car struck and broke a utility pole. Crews also addressed a vehicle fire on I-95. Separately, the department responded to a residence experiencing a smoke condition, which was traced to an appliance fire.

In addition to these incidents, the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department handled a carbon monoxide alarm and a medical call. The department also extended mutual aid to the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company. This assistance included dispatching an engine, a tanker, and 12 firefighters to a minor exterior house fire in Killingworth.
