Identity Theft Suspect Arrested: Clinton Police

Police say the man stole information from people from throughout the state and made numerous fraudulent purchases at Clinton Crossing.

CLINTON, CT — A New York man is accused of stealing personal information from more than seven people from throughout Connecticut and making numerous purchases with fraudulent credit cards at the Clinton Crossing Outlets, according to police.

Christopher Guevara, 21, of Bronx, N.Y., was arrested Friday by Clinton Police on two arrest warrants while he appeared in Meriden Superior Court on unrelated but similar charges, according to police.

The arrest stems from an investigation that began this past December when it was determined that Guevara was using illegally obtained personal information from more than seven different victims throughout Connecticut, according to police.
