Lane Closures Announced For Milling Project In Clinton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation will begin the milling project next week, according to officials.

CLINTON, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will begin milling the I-95 overpass on Route 81 between Glenwood Road and Noth High Street in Clinton on Thursday, April 30.

“This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair,” DOT officials wrote in an advisory.

Clinton police are advising motorists that traffic will be reduced to one lane between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

“Traffic control and crash attenuator vehicles will be in place to aid motorists through the construction zone; however, delays will occur,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “Please use an alternate route if possible. The entire length of Route 81 in Clinton is also scheduled for repaving this year. We will make everyone aware of the timing of that project work as soon as it is finalized. Drive Safe.”
