LCRVHC is a group of riders from a variety of disciplines united by a common love of horses. We enjoy riding whether on the trailsor in the arena, meeting to socialize and learn, and volunteering our time to develop and maintain trails.
The Lower Connecticut River Vally Horsemen's Club, a 501c 07 non-profit corporation was
established as a recreational and social club in 1962. Our main activities are monthly meetings, member-only trail rides most months, trail maintenance and development work parties, and an annual fundraiser hunter pace that is open to the public.

Our trail development and maintenance work is done in conjunction with our sister organization The Bridle Path Conservancy* (BPC). As many of our members ride the trails we try to help preserve this resource and keep the trails accessible to all equestrians. We are committed to helping maintain the Weber Woods section of the Cockaponsett State Forest and developed and maintain the Quinimay Trail. Quite a few of our members are also active in the Connecticut Horse Council’s-Volunteer Horse Patrol program.
