Make-A-Wish Comes True For 4-Year-Old Girl In Clinton

The Clinton resident was granted her wish during an emotional evening earlier this week.

CLINTON, CT — Ava, a 4-year-old Clinton resident with Immunodeficiency Disorder, saw her Make-A-Wish come true when she was presented with a trip to Seattle to meet YouTube sensation Blippi earlier this week. Ava was granted her wish during an emotional evening at Chip’s Pub III on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Blippi is a YouTube personality who creates educational videos for children.

“Whenever Ava is feeling anxious, she puts on a Blippi video which helps her to settle,” the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department said in a post on Facebook. “Ava and her family were picked up by Engine 4 and brought to Chip's where representatives from the Make-a-Wish foundation presented her with a trip to Seattle Washington to meet Blippi. Staff of Chip's Pub III, members of the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department and members of the community were on hand for this very special occasion. The evening was rounded out with a personalized video message from Blippi to Ava. This event was the culmination of a campaign to raise funds to grant a local child's wish. We would like to wish Ava and her family a safe trip and hope they have a wonderful time!”
