Police say the mother is currently on parole for larceny charges and has 42 previous arrests.
CLINTON, CT — A woman with a long history of shoplifting arrests and her daughter are accused of recently stealing about $380 worth of children’s clothing at the Clinton Crossing Outlets. Police said the mother is on parole for larceny charges and has 42 previous arrests.
Clinton Police arrested Antoinette Hunt, 58, and Tatiana Byrd, 34, on outstanding arrest warrants on Wednesday. Hunt is Byrd’s mother and both currently reside at different addresses in Hartford, according to Sgt. Jeremiah Dunn.
Dunn said the arrests stem from a shoplifting investigation that occurred at Clinton Crossings on Feb. 18.

“At that time Hunt and Byrd were observed on store video working together as they actively shoplifted,” Dunn said in a press release. “Video clearly shows the pair filled three bags with children’s clothing (worth approximately $380.) while at the POLO store, and they both left the store without paying.”
Witnesses observed them leave in a vehicle that was later determined to be registered to Byrd, according to Dunn.
