Obituary: Colleen Kerr Phillips, 42, of Clinton

Colleen was an avid animal lover and always had a pet by her side. She will be most remembered for her infectious laugh and kind spirit.

Colleen Kerr Phillips, 42, of Clinton, CT passed away on December 16, 2018 peacefully with her family by her side. Colleen was born February 24, 1976 in New Haven, CT. She was a 1995 graduate of Daniel Hand High School in Madison, CT.

After graduation, Colleen was a longtime employee of All Freight Logistics of North Haven, CT. Colleen had a creative mind and enjoyed drawing, painting, and crafting. Colleen was an avid animal lover and always had a pet by her side. She will be most remembered for her infectious laugh and kind spirit.

Colleen is survived and will be dearly missed by her parents, Tom and Sue Kerr of Clinton, her sister Erin and her husband John Gaudet of Clinton, and her sister Shannon Olson of St. Petersburg, FL. In addition, she leaves behind seven nieces and nephews, Hannah, Mikaela, Heidi; Sophie Gaudet, and Logan, Chloe, and Liam Olson. Also, her loyal friend, Dennis Howley, of Westbrook. As well as many Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. Colleen was predeceased in death by her brother Tommy Kerr, grandparents Tom and Idie Kerr, Bill and Marian Sheahan, and her uncle Richard Sheahan. The family is forever grateful to Emily Miesee and Holly Starkman for their unconditional support and care for Colleen.

Calling hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home, 80 E. Main St., Clinton, on Thursday, December 20 at 9 a.m. for a procession to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 54 Grove St, Clinton, with burial to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Beach park Road, Clinton.
