Nothing made “Poppie” happier than his large family that included not only his children and grandchildren but anyone who joined in a family meal. He leaves a tremendous legacy with his family and will be remembered for his noble generosity of spirit, and a sharp dry wit. He loved of a good laugh, a good steak, a short glass of milk and if you had time, or even if you didn’t, he always had a “few suggestions.”
He was married to his forever love, Duffy, for 63 years, a relationship by which we can all only aspire to. Besides Duffy, Ed is survived by his children, Ed (Candice) Vickerman of Guilford, Jim (Liz) Vickerman of Clinton, Tom (Kim) Vickerman of Branford, John (Lauren) Vickerman of Stonington and Alice Vickerman of Clinton and grandchildren Paige, Casey, Connor, Tori, Grace DeGrasse, James DeGrasse, EJ, Brooke, Daniella and Tess.
