Elinor Dolan Giovine, 78, of Clinton, died Monday December 17, 2018 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Elinor was born November 11, 1940 in New Haven, daughter of the late Alfred J. and Kathryn Fitzgerald Dolan. She worked as a banker for several area banks, until retiring from First Niagra Bank. Elinor is survived by her son Paul Giovine and his wife Michelle Giovine of Framingham, MA; her grandchildren, Matthew and Morgan Giovine of Framingham, and her brother Joseph A. Dolan of New Haven. She was predeceased by her son Marc Giovine.

Elinor was a faithful member of the Catholic church, and a longstanding member of the Clinton Garden Club. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Her funeral will leave the W. S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main Street, Branford, Saturday morning at 9:30 for a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Francis Church at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, New Haven at 10:00. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Friends may call Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 8:30-9:30.
