Jean (John) M. Senesac, a resident of Old Saybrook, died peacefully on Nov. 5, 2011 at the age of 91. He was born on July 1, 1920 in New Bedford, Mass., and was one of seven children. His parents were Guy and Harriet Lewis. He graduated from New Bedford Textile Institute in New Bedford, Mass., and served proudly in the United States Army in the Air Corp during World War II. He worked for many years at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in North Haven before his retirement in 1986. He was an avid Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his wife, Mercedes Senesac of Old Saybrook, his brother, Charlie Senesac of Yarmouth, Mass., his children, Rick Senesac of Tallahassee, Fla., Debbie Snopek of Hakensack, N.J., Patty Heidelbaugh of York, Pa., Lawrence Dooley of Houlton, Maine, Louise Enright and Mercedes Dooley of Palm Coast, Fla., Vincent Dooley of Pomfret Center, Cherie Bredbury of Clinton, and his grandchildren, Liam Dooley, Benjamin Dooley, Sarah Dooley, Daniel Dooley, Jennifer Kambhampati, Leslie Murphy, Kathleen Winters, Kevin Brunelle, Cherie Brunelle, Amy Brunelle, Chad Bredbury, Erin Sackett, and David Bredbury, and many great grandchildren.
The family will be conducting a military service in Cape Cod, Mass., in June of 2012.
