Obituary: Michael Bailey, 61, of Clinton

In Yale New Haven Hospital, Wed. March 29, Michael Bailey of Clinton formerly of Guilford passed away peacefully. Mr. Bailey was born in New Haven, CT on Dec. 10, 1945, son of the late Frederick and Minerva Tonzillo Bailey. Father of Melanie Remington and her husband Will of Clinton, Jeffrey Bailey and his wife Holly of Block Island, RI and Keith Bailey and his wife Krissy of Wilder, VT.

Brother of Maryanne Goodale of Thetford, VT, Livio Bailey of Guilford, Thomas and Tricia Bailey of Madison and Geraldine Bailey of TN. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy and Kaylan Remington, Saphire Bailey, Brittany Gross, Ethan Preston, Logan Preston and Khloe Preston. Michael leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Michael was predeceased by brothers, Frank and Dominick as well as sisters, Lena and Barbara.

Before retiring, Mr. Bailey worked for Electric Boat for over thirty years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, visiting with family and traveling to various locations.

Friends are invited to a celebration of life at the Guilford Funeral Home, 115 Church St, Guilford on Sat. April 22 from 11 am – 1 pm, followed by a gathering at the Clinton Volunteer Fire Department, 35 E Main St, Clinton (Off Route 1). Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
