Obituary: Mildred Upton, 87; Formerly Of Clinton

Mildred Upton, 87, of Wallingford, formerly of Clinton, beloved wife of the late Horace E. Upton Jr., passed away peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. Born February 16, 1931 in Astoria Queens New York, she was the daughter of the late Alfred X. and Louise Richter Fischer.

Before her retirement, Millie was a secretary at RR Donnelly and Sons Printers in Old Saybrook. Millie lived her life surrounded by many friends and family who loved her and will miss her so very much. She was a lifelong learner, curious in nature, loved to laugh and have fun and always ready to go on another adventure.

She is survived by her three daughters; Susan Branzell and her husband Clifford of Wallingford, Nancy Wiswell and her husband Peter of Jackson Hole, WY and Patricia Larson and her husband Chip of MD. Four grandchildren; Alex and Christian Branzell and Sam and Sydney Wiswell. Millie is also survived by two sisters; Doris Adams and her husband Buddy of Danbury and Carol Piemonte and her husband Vincent of Long Island.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at the First Church of Christ, 55 Church Rd. Clinton, CT 06413 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Millie’s memory to either Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT 06450 or the Clinton Fire Dept in Clinton, CT.
