Obituary: Robert A. Mizenko, 93, of Clinton
Bob, a U.S. Army veteran, was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Robert (Bob) Anthony Mizenko, 93, of Clinton, Ct, and formerly a long time resident of Wallingford, CT, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2017 at Apple Health Care Facility.
Bob was born on May 2, 1923 in Luzerne PA, to Anna (Palsha) and Michael Mizenko. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean Harriet Mizenko.

Bob served honorably in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946 in the European and Asiatic-Pacific Theaters of Operations.
He was long retired from American Cyanamid for which he worked for, for 45 years. Bob enjoyed many years of vacationing in Aruba, bowling, fishing, watching baseball, football (lifelong Phillies and Eagles fan) and wrestling. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by and will be dearly missed by his daughters, Denise Barbes and husband Jimmie, Margaret Wendt and husband Greg, and their sons Patrick and Matthew, all of Clinton Ct., as well as his brother and sister-in-law Michael and Audrey Mizenko, his sister Emily Thorne and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph Mizenko, Bernie Mizenko, Johnny Mizenko and sisters, Helen Blasick, Mary Kapral and Renee Rayburn.
A Celebration of Life will be private in the coming days. Swan Funeral Home in Clinton is in charge of arrangements.
