'Our Defense Is A Wall' Sign At Clinton Vs. Lyme-Old Lyme Game Draws Scrutiny: Report

OLD LYME, CT — Officials from the Lyme-Old Lyme and Clinton school districts recently discussed a
sign hung at a high school soccer game between host Lyme-Old Lyme and The Morgan School that read, "Our
Defense Is a Wall," which offended some opposing players and parents, reports The Day.

Whether intended or not, the sign appeared to reference President Donald Trump's proposed wall along the Mexican border, which led Clinton parents to complain to district officials, who then discussed it with Lyme-Old Lyme officials.

No students have been punished for the sign, but officials from both districts are using the matter as a learning opportunity for the future.
