Parking Ban Announced In Clinton

Officials announce a parking ban and the closure of town offices in anticipation of Tuesday's snowstorm.

CLINTON, CT — In anticipation of the impending major snowstorm, a parking ban will be in effect in Clinton starting at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening and lasting through the morning hours of Wednesday, March 15, according to police.

“No on street parking will be allowed anywhere in the Town of Clinton during this time period, in order to allow State and Local road crews sufficient access in removing the excessive amount of snow that is forecasted from our streets,” police said in a post on Facebook. “Any vehicles found in violation of this ban may be subject to a ticket and tow (at the vehicle owner’s expense). Thank you for your cooperation in this matter. Please be safe, and good luck to all of our citizens and visitors during the next 36-48 hours!!”

Town officials are also requesting that cars not be parked at the end of the driveway in the “Town right of way.”
