Crash Closes Portion Of Route 81 In Clinton: UPDATE

CLINTON, CT — In an update, Clinton Police say a motor vehicle accident has shut down Route 81 northbound at the high school and there is no northbound traffic past the high school. Route 81 southbound is shut down at Hurd Bridge Road, according to police.

All southbound traffic is being diverted down Hurd Bridge Road, police said.

Clinton Police are advising motorists to avoid the area of Route 81 and Hurd Bridge Road.

There was no immediate word on any injuries involved in the crash.
