Popular Restaurant To Close After 10 Years In Clinton
Obstacles the restaurant has recently encountered are "making executing production to our standards seemingly impossible."
CLINTON, CT — Chow Food and Beverage in Clinton has permanently closed after 10 years in business.
The restaurant at 36 Killingworth Turnpike is described as a "new American nook with a rustic-chic ambiance serving BBQ plates, gourmet pizza & local craft beers."
The restaurant announced the closure on Facebook. Though the post didn't address exactly why they are closing, the owners stated that during the last 18 months, they had run into "many obstacles."

"It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to permanently closed Chow Food & Beverage this Saturday night. We are extremely proud to have been apart of this shoreline community for the last 10 years. Creating countless memories with many of you. Chow started with a small idea in 2015 and grew into one of the more popular restaurants in our small area.

"Over the last 18 months we have ran into many obstacles. Making executing production to our standards seemingly impossible. Instead of continuing to spin our wheels we find it best to close the book on this adventure and focus on our lives outside of Chow.
"We will be serving a very limited menu until Saturday night. All your favorite pizzas and burgers will be served until we close the doors for the last time. Thank you all again for the 10 years of support. - chow."
