Recall Alert: Hearth & Home Recalls Gas Fireplaces, Stoves, Inserts and Log Sets

The following information is via the Hearth & Home Technologies website.

Hazard: The gas valve in the unit can leak, posing a fire hazard.

Recalled Product: Natural or propane gas hearth products sold from May 1, 2014 - July 31, 2014, by the following brands — Hearth & Home Technologies; Heat & Glo; Heatilator; Outdoor Lifestyles and Quadra-Fire

Incidents/Injuries: None reported

Remedy: Stop using the hearth product, turn off the gas to the unit and contact the fireplace dealer to set up a free inspection, and if necessary, valve replacement.

This recall is being conducted in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
