
Shore Line East has announced that changes to its train schedule will go into effect on Monday, April 23 due to Amtrak construction in Madison.
According to an email from Shore Line East, here are some changes to be aware of:

Weekday Westbound service to New Haven:
- A.M. Service - Only train 1645 is impacted, departing Old Saybrook 10 minutes early.
- Most westbound peak p.m. trains will have adjusted departure times, averaging 5 to 10 minutes.
Weekday Eastbound service from New Haven:

- Both a.m. and p.m. service will be impacted with adjusted departure times and some bus service replacing trains between Guilford & Old Saybrook
- Three weekday SLE trains will be bused
- Train 1636 between Guilford and Westbrook
- Trains 1638 & 1656 between Guilford and Old Saybrook
- Some weekend train schedules have also been adjusted
- SLE New London customers using a multi-ride SLE ticket can now travel on the afternoon 174 Amtrak regional train leaving New Haven-Union Station at 3:40 p.m., arriving in New London at 4:34 p.m.
