Smash-and-Grab Robbery Reported at Clinton Business, Police Say
Two male suspects entered the local business, smashed display cases, and fled with merchandise.
CLINTON, CT — The Clinton Police Department is actively investigating a smash-and-grab robbery that occurred at Kay Jewelers. The incident took place on Feb. 3 at approximately 5:30 PM. Two male suspects entered the store located in Clinton, police said.
During the robbery, the suspects smashed multiple jewelry display cases, police said. They subsequently fled the scene with an undetermined amount of merchandise, police said. No firearms were displayed during the incident, and no injuries were reported by anyone present, police said.
Detectives have continued to investigate the incident. The investigation has developed strong leads, and further developments are anticipated as work progresses, police added.
