Take A Tour: Clinton's Five Priciest Homes On The Market Right Now

CLINTON, CT — Shore Road holds three of Clinton's five most expensive homes for sale, and the No. 1 listing costs about three times as much as anything else in town, according to Zillow.com.

No. 1 on the list is 167 Shore Road, a waterfront home listed at $2,749,000. Built in 2003, the 4,381-square-foot house has four bedrooms and four full bathrooms on three levels connected by an elevator and a grand staircase. The listing highlights Ipe and Azek decking, automated storm shutters, a reinforced seawall with steel bulkheads, owned solar panels and a gourmet kitchen with a large island and a wine chiller. It has been on Zillow for 67 days.

Tied for No. 2 at $899,000 each are two very different Shore Road houses. One, 144 Shore Road, is a remodeled 1960 home with water and marsh views and deeded beach access. It has 1,722 square feet, four bedrooms and two full bathrooms and has been on Zillow for 43 days. The other, 105 Shore Road, is a 1938 summer cottage on a large sandy beach that the same family has owned for 88 years, according to the listing. The 925-square-foot cottage has four bedrooms, a sleeping porch, an enclosed 400-square-foot porch and Long Island Sound views; Zillow lists just one half bathroom. It has been on Zillow for 41 days.

No. 4 is 24 Indian Drive, in the Country Club Estates neighborhood where the Indian River meets Long Island Sound, listed at $895,000 after a $55,000 price cut on Oct. 7. The 1968 house got a large addition in 2020 with a primary suite and media rooms, along with remodeled bathrooms, a new roof and a whole-house generator. It has 3,032 square feet, three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom on 0.27 acres and has been on Zillow for 140 days.

Closing out the top five is 151-153 East Main St. #17, a new-construction townhouse condo at Sterling Sand Village, listed at $859,000 after a $10,000 price increase on Oct. 20. The listing describes the community near Clinton Beach and the marina as still under development, with 28 duplex townhomes of 2,200 square feet each. Unit 17 has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and one half bathroom, and has been on Zillow for 309 days. Three more units there are listed at $849,000 each.
