Teen, 18, Arrested On Drug Charges Following Robbery Investigation: Clinton Police
Police say the teen was found to be in possession of marijuana and Amphetamine pills while they were investigating a recent armed robbery.

CLINTON, CT — An 18-year-old Clinton resident faces drug charges after police say he was found to be in the possession of marijuana and Amphetamine pills while they were executing a search warrant at his residence as part of a recent armed robbery investigation.
Bryan Ortiz, 18, of Hurd Bridge Road, was arrested on a warrant March 15 on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of marijuana with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of marijuana, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The charges stem from a search-and-seizure warrant executed at Ortiz’s residence on March 7 by Clinton and State Police.

The original search warrant was the result of information developed that Ortiz was involved in a recent armed robbery of a convenience store in Westbrook, according to Clinton Police.
While executing the search warrant, police came across marijuana, amphetamine pills and paraphernalia related to drug sales, including packaging and scales, according to police.

During the investigation police also developed information that Ortiz was involved in the use and sale of illegal drugs.
Police seized .58 ounces of marijuana (packaged for sale) and 10 Amphetamine pills.
Clinton Police say evidence from the armed robbery was also seized but the charges for the robbery are pending with State Police.
