This Wednesday, June 20th, we'll be voting for the fourth time on the Clinton town budget. The Board of Finance, the Board of Selectmen, and the departments and agencies of the town have heard the message. They have responded to concerns. They have made significant cuts throughout the budget. The current budget is strong, and supports the town's vital services as well as it's economic development goals. It's time to pass the budget.
It would be so easy to skip voting this time. It's particularly easy when there aren't as many reminder signs along the roads. It's particularly easy when the Board of Education budget has passed and there's only one vote to be cast. And it's particularly easy when, after three times, voting is getting tiresome. But it's PARTICULARLY IMPORTANT that you do vote. Take look at the current budget on the town website. Read the line-by-line information. If you have questions, call Town Hall. Satisfy your concerns. And then go vote.
