Victim Identified In Fatal Clinton Crash: Police
One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision on Route 81 on Thursday.
CLINTON, CT — Clinton Police have identified the victim in Thursday’s fatal accident on Route 81 as Andrew Asermely, 60, of Killingworth. Police said Asermely was pronounced dead at the scene of the two-vehicle head-on collision due to the significant injuries he sustained in the accident.
The crash occurred at about 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, on Route 81 near Rocky Ledge Drive in Clinton. (To sign up for Clinton breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The operator of the second vehicle, Deidre Koziel, 48, of Middletown, also sustained serious injuries and is currently being treated at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to Clinton Police.

Police said the accident remains under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
