WEATHER UPDATE: Long Duration Mainly Ice Storm to Hit Clinton

The National Weather Service is now predicting that more ice than snow will fall on the area.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for a “long duration weather event” beginning Sunday afternoon and lasting into Monday night.

So you’re thinking that must mean a lot of snow? Not exactly. In fact little snow accumulation is expected.

Then why the Hazardous Weather Outlook? It appears a majority of the precipitation will be in the form of freezing rain.
