Weight Loss Made Easy!
The new MyZone system at Snap Fitness of Clinton makes it easy to achieve maximum cardio benefit and weight loss.

When we ask potential new members what their fitness goals are, a large percentage say weight loss. Well, I think everyone knows that there are two parts to weight loss - food intake and exercise. There isn’t much we can do to help members with their diet although Joy is certainly a wealth of knowledge in that area that members can take advantage of. But there is definitely something we can do to help members lose weight through exercise. To achieve weight loss and maximum cardio benefit from exercise, you need to work out at a level that has your heart working at 70 to 85% of maximum. Maximum heart rate is determined by a number of factors including age, weight and height. So the 70 to 80% goal is different for each individual. We have charts at both ends of the club that will give a member a rough estimate of their maximum heart rate; however, these charts only factor in age.
When we sign up a new member for our MyZone system, we will register their activity belt and set it up using their age, weight and height - this is far more accurate than a chart. As a member works out with the MyZone activity belt, he/she will see a real time display on the six flat screen TV’s throughout the club showing his/her actual percent of maximum heart rate. Each individual has their own tile on the MyZone screen and the tiles change color as the activity level increases. With MyZone, weight loss is very, very simple - if your tile is green, you are in that 70 to 80% range - do that for 30-45 minutes and you will lose weight. It’s that simple. So is MyZone expensive? Well it was for us as it’s a $10,000 system. But all our members pay is the cost of the activity belt - normally $75.00 but $60.00 until December 31st.
