About Mike MasonA Lifelong Greenwich Resident. A Business Owner. A Civic Volunteer. A Strong Voice for Greenwich.
THREE GENERATIONS. ONE HOMETOWN.
Greenwich has always been home for me. I’m a third-generation Greenwich resident. I attended North Street School, Western Middle School, and graduated from Greenwich High School. I met my wife, Michele, at Western and we graduated from Greenwich High School together.
We have lived in Cos Cob for more than 30 years, where we raised our daughter, Julia. This is the community where I grew up, built my family and career, and the community I am proud to call home.

ROOTED IN GREENWICH. RAISING A FAMILY HERE.
My career has given me experience in both the private and public sectors. As a business owner, including my time as co-owner of the aviation Fixed Base Operation Million Air at Westchester County Airport, I learned firsthand what it means to create jobs, meet payroll, make investments, and build a business known for service and safety.

FROM THE PRIVATE SECTOR TO PUBLIC SERVICE.
For nearly three decades, I have also had the privilege of serving Greenwich in local government. I served 10 years on the Representative Town Meeting (RTM) and 18 years on the Board of Estimate and Taxation (BET), including six terms as Chairman. Throughout that time, I worked to protect Greenwich taxpayers, promote fiscal responsibility, and preserve the services and quality of life that make our town such a special place to live—all while keeping taxes stable and predictable.
18 YEARS ON THE BET. SIX TERMS AS CHAIRMAN.
Today, I serve as Director of Labor Relations for the Town of Greenwich. Greenwich has nine different labor contracts for employees serving the Town and Board of Education, and I am responsible for negotiating these extremely important labor agreements. I had your trust while serving on the BET, and I continue to take that responsibility seriously today, particularly when these contracts represent such a significant portion of our local tax dollars.
NEGOTIATING THE CONTRACTS THAT AFFECT YOUR TAX DOLLARS.
I’m running for State Representative because I want to protect our quality of life and ensure Greenwich remains one of the best places to live, work, own a business, and raise a family. I believe Greenwich needs a stronger voice in Hartford.
FROM GREENWICH TO HARTFORD.
Connecticut cannot tax and spend its way to prosperity. Families are struggling with rising costs. Seniors are finding it harder to remain in the communities they helped build. Young people are questioning whether they can afford to build their futures here. And businesses face taxes and regulations that make it harder to invest, hire, and grow.
THE COST OF LIVING MATTERS.
I believe Greenwich deserves a State Representative who will stand up to Hartford—not stand with Hartford.
A STRONGER VOICE FOR GREENWICH.
I will fight to:
- Lower taxes and control state spending rather than continually asking taxpayers for more.
- Protect property rights and local control from one-size-fits-all mandates coming out of Hartford.
- Improve the inequitable Education Cost Sharing and School Construction grants to Greenwich.
- Reduce unnecessary regulations that make it harder to build, invest, hire, and grow.
- Protect Connecticut’s budget guardrails and demand fiscal discipline.
- Support law enforcement and safer communities while holding criminals accountable.
- Keep seniors and young people in Connecticut by making housing and the cost of living more manageable.
LOWER TAXES. LOCAL CONTROL. FISCAL DISCIPLINE.
I’m not a career politician. I’m a lifelong Greenwich resident, businessman, and community leader who understands that the government is spending your money.
YOUR MONEY DESERVES ACCOUNTABILITY.
I’m running to put Greenwich taxpayers, families, businesses, and property owners first—and to have the courage to say no when Hartford gets it wrong.
GREENWICH FIRST. FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE. ACCOUNTABLE.
I’m ready to bring common sense, fiscal responsibility, and a strong Greenwich voice to Hartford.
