1 Pedestrian Seriously Injured Following Hit-And-Run In Danbury
Police are asking for the public's assistance in tracking down the hit-and-run driver that sent one pedestrian to the hospital.
DANBURY, CT — Police are seeking the public's assistance tracking down a vehicle which fled the scene of a serious accident Wednesday night.
Around 8:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of 9A Clapboard Ridge Road on a report of a man down in the roadway. First responders determined the man had been struck by a motor vehicle, according to police spokesperson Erin Henry.
The man was taken to Danbury Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, and Clapboard Ridge Road was closed for several hours while police completed their initial investigation. The motor vehicle has not been identified.
