2 Danbury Police Officers Hospitalized After Apartment Fire
The officers suffered smoke inhalation while responding to a third-floor apartment fire Wednesday, officials said.
DANBURY, CT — Two police officers were taken to a hospital after suffering smoke inhalation during an apartment fire in Danbury Wednesday, according to the Danbury Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to 34 Town Hill Ave. around 11:30 a.m. for a reported structure fire.
Crews arrived to find a fire in the kitchen of a third-floor apartment and stretched hose lines to the third floor, where firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, officials said.

Two police officers were taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment of smoke inhalation. Both were treated and released, according to the fire department.
A resident was also evaluated at the scene for smoke inhalation but declined further medical treatment.

The Danbury Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
