3 Danbury Liquor Stores Have Licenses Suspended
The establishments paid fines and will have their liquor licenses suspended, according to state officials.
DANBURY, CT — Three liquor stores in Danbury will have their liquor licenses suspended, according to the state Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission.
Copacabana Liquor, on 12 Ives St., paid $1,000 and will face a one-day suspension April 28 for not having its name properly displayed near the main entrance, not having a proper supply of age statement forms, being open for business during hours it should have been legally closed, and selling alcohol to a minor, according to the commission.
S&D Liquors, on 129 Padanaram Rd., paid $850 and will face a one-day suspension June 1 for selling alcohol to a minor and not properly posting prices, according to the commission.

Bevmax, on 20 Backus Ave., paid $3,000 and is facing a closure from Sep. 14 through Sep. 18 for selling alcohol to a minor, according to the commission.
