DANBURY, CT — A community 5K and festival focused on autism awareness is planned this weekend in Danbury's Hatters Park.
The Puzzles Marathon 5K run and walk will take place Saturday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 36 E. Hayestown Road.
The event is designed as an inclusive run and walk supporting the autism community through awareness, accessibility and connection, organizers said.
Participants can run, walk or jog the 5K course, with the event officially sanctioned by USA Track & Field and timed by FastTrack Timing, according to organizers.
In addition to the race, the event will feature a kids zone, food trucks, live music, vendors and guest speakers throughout the day.
Organizers said the event aims to bring together families, advocates and community members to celebrate neurodiversity.
