DANBURY, CT — A fast-growing drive-thru coffee chain is officially coming to the greater Danbury area.
Plans to open a 7 Brew coffee shop at 169 Danbury Road in New Milford have been approved by zoning officials, following discussions earlier this year, according to town records.
The project will convert a former bank building into a drive-thru-only coffee shop, with additional site and building modifications.
According to application details presented to the commission, the coffee shop will occupy about 965 square feet of the existing structure, with a layout designed to prioritize drive-thru traffic. Parking on site will be reduced to accommodate multiple drive-thru lanes and vehicle queuing.
Project representatives said 7 Brew has expanded rapidly, with more than 600 locations across dozens of states. The concept focuses on quick-service beverages, including coffee, tea and shakes, and is designed primarily for drive-thru customers rather than walk-in service.
The company already have seven locations in Connecticut.
During earlier discussions, representatives said the model is focused on speed and efficiency, with most customers expected to use the drive-thru rather than enter the building.
