The funding increase is part of the newly approved state budget aimed at easing pressure on local taxes and school costs.

DANBURY, CT — Danbury is set to receive millions in additional state funding under the newly approved state budget.

The funding is part of a broader statewide effort to increase support for school districts and municipalities, with the goal of helping communities manage rising costs without increasing property taxes.

State officials said the funding is designed to close budget gaps in local schools and town services while providing relief for residents.

The budget was approved by lawmakers and is expected to be signed by the governor.
