DANBURY, CT — A Danbury resident recently celebrated a milestone birthday Monday surrounded by family, friends and local officials.
Etta Dachman turned 106 years old during a celebration at Spring Village in Danbury, according to a social media post from the City of Danbury.
Mayor Roberto Alves joined residents and staff in recognizing Dachman with a city proclamation, while state Rep. Farley Santos presented a state citation in honor of the occasion, the city said.
“Etta’s vibrant spirit, creativity, and dedication to her community continue to inspire all those around her,” the city wrote in the post.
Photos shared online showed Dachman celebrating with residents, caregivers and local officials beneath large “106” balloons.
