DANBURY, CT — Average home values in Danbury are approaching the half-million-dollar mark, according to new Zillow data comparing communities across Connecticut.

The average home value in Danbury at approximately $484,354, according to Zillow.
That places Danbury above many Connecticut communities, including Hartford, Waterbury, Meriden and New Britain, while still remaining below some of Fairfield County’s highest-priced housing markets.
Nearby communities including Brookfield ($578,707), Bethel ($559,956), Newtown ($656,766) and Ridgefield ($994,761) all ranked higher than Danbury in the new data.
The data comes as Connecticut continues to face rising home prices and limited inventory.
According to Redfin, 8,307 homes were listed for sale statewide in March, down 10.2 percent year over year.
Zillow estimates the average Connecticut home value is now about $441,466, a 4.8 percent increase over the past year.
