1. See Where Danbury Ranks On Connecticut Home Value Map (patch.com) — Danbury homeowners are seeing average property values climb close to $500,000, putting the city above many Connecticut communities but still below several neighboring Fairfield County towns. New Zillow and Redfin data highlight how Danbury’s market compares regionally amid rising prices and tight statewide inventory.    

2. Danbury School Named Connecticut Blue Ribbon School (patch.com) — Families in Danbury can celebrate as Western Connecticut Academy of International Studies Elementary Magnet School is named one of Connecticut’s 2026 Blue Ribbon Schools. State leaders praised the school’s strong academics and supportive environment, with an awards ceremony planned in June alongside five other honored schools statewide.    

3. Driver Arrested After Danbury Crash That Toppled Utility Poles: Police (patch.com) — A serious crash near Triangle Street and Starr Road in Danbury toppled four utility poles, brought down live wires, and shut nearby roads for hours while crews worked. Police later arrested the alleged driver and cited several passengers on interference and related charges. One occupant was already being held on outstanding warrants at Danbury police headquarters.    

4. WCSU student says 18-year-old threatened to shoot him (newstimes.com) — An 18-year-old from Hartford has been charged with first-degree threatening after campus police say he made violent threats toward a Western Connecticut State University student in Danbury. The case is now in Danbury Superior Court, with not-guilty pleas entered and a return date set for June 18. No injuries were reported, but the incident centers on disputes involving another WCSU student.
