Several Danbury Events Could Cause Traffic Delays This Week

A religious procession, torch run, parade and several races are expected to affect traffic in parts of the city.

DANBURY, CT — Drivers in Danbury should expect temporary traffic delays over the next several days as community events take place throughout the city.

According to the Danbury Police Department, a religious procession, the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run, a 5K race and the annual Portuguese Day Parade are expected to affect traffic between Thursday and Sunday.

Sunday, June 7

Police said the events are expected to cause minor traffic delays and thanked motorists for their patience.
