DANBURY, CT — A person of interest sought in connection with a domestic violence investigation involving a firearm has turned himself in, according to police.
The Danbury Police Department announced Monday that Alvaro Matias turned himself in after authorities asked the public for information on his whereabouts.
Police had identified Matias as a person of interest in a domestic violence incident involving a firearm. Authorities said he was last seen in the area of Clapboard Ridge Road and Stuart Drive.
Court records show an individual with the same name has a pending family violence case in Danbury stemming from a January arrest on charges of third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
It was not immediately clear whether Monday's investigation is related to that case.
Police have not yet released additional details.
