Danbury Police To Host National Night Out This Week

The free community event will feature food, games and an opportunity for residents to meet local police officers and first responders.

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department is inviting residents to Rogers Park on Tuesday for its annual National Night Out celebration.

The free, family-friendly event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Aug. 4 at Rogers Park.

Hosted in partnership with the City of Danbury, National Night Out is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community while promoting neighborhood safety.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet Danbury police officers and other first responders while enjoying food, games and activities for all ages.

"Come meet the officers and first responders who serve our city and spend a great summer evening with neighbors from across Danbury," the department said in a social media post.

National Night Out is held annually in communities across the country to encourage police-community partnerships and neighborhood engagement.
