β’ ICE makes multiple arrests in downtown Danbury, officials say (ctpost.com) β Multiple people were detained by federal immigration agents in downtown Danbury Monday morning, alarming residents and immigrant advocates. Gov. Ned Lamont criticized the arrests as not targeting violent criminals, while Mayor Roberto Alves' office said ICE gave the city no advance notice. Advocates say day laborers at Kennedy Park were among those taken into custody, and officials note Danbury has been a recent hotspot for ICE activity.
