Joe McCluskey: The Reserve Restaurant, Bar & Lounge opened August, 2025 in the old Widow Browns location. The Reserve brings elevated comfort cuisine, craft cocktails, and a warm, refined atmosphere to a place where stories - and new traditions - are waiting to unfold.
Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Joe McCluskey: 5+ years (Rein Osteria on Pembroke Road in Danbury/New Fairfield) as an organization, 1 year in Danbury / Brookfield as The Reserve.
Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you're in, and how did you get started?
Joe McCluskey: We have operated restaurants for 5+ years. We took over another restaurant, were lucky enough to be successful, and are now expanding.
Patch: What's the most common piece of advice you give to customers?
Joe McCluskey: Treat your staff and customers well is the key to being successful.
Patch: What's the most satisfying part of your job?
Joe McCluskey: We have quite a few staffers that have been with us since the beginning in an industry where loyalty is hard to find.
Patch: How would you say your business distinguishes itself from the others?
Joe McCluskey: The best staff, the highest quality food, produce, desserts served up in good locations in venues that people enjoy spending time in.
