Man Injured In Possible Road Rage Knife Attack In Danbury: Police

The victim was hospitalized after the altercation, according to police.

DANBURY, CT — A man was hospitalized after a knife assault in Danbury that police said may have stemmed from a road-rage altercation.

Danbury police responded to the area of Newtown Road and Old Newtown Road for a report of an assault involving a knife on Thursday.

Officers found a man with an injury to his arm, according to police. He was taken to a hospital and was in stable condition.

A preliminary investigation indicated the incident may have stemmed from a "road rage type altercation," police said.

The person believed to be responsible left the area before officers arrived. Police did not release a description of that person or additional details about what led up to the assault.

Detectives are investigating.
