“Drag Raising: An Fundraising Event to Benefit Apex Community Care” is being held on Friday April 28, 2023 from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. at The Palace Danbury, 165 Main Street. The event will include a drag performance by Summer Orlando and Barbra Joan Streetsand, New England’s #1 live singing dynamic drag duo! There will also be light bites, cash bar, a silent auction and more!
Funds raised will support Apex Community Care, Inc. formerly AIDS Project Greater Danbury, a nonprofit organization established in 1987. In addition to HIV medical and support services, Apex provides Behavioral Health and Substance Use treatment; primary medical and infectious disease care; HIV, STI and Hepatitis C testing; drug user health programming, including Narcan training and a syringe exchange program. Apex’s philosophy is to wrap services around people so they feel safe, dignified and heard, always meeting them where they are! With locations in Danbury, New Milford and Torrington, and mobile services throughout the region, including Waterbury, Apex has been serving western Connecticut for 35 years.
