Musicals at Richter’s Fairy Tale Theater for Children Returns
Auditions for Young People Slated for Saturday, April 29
Danbury– Musicals at Richter (MAR) announces the return of its popular Fairy Tale Theater, a play series by and for young people, for a 22nd season this summer. Auditions for young people ages 7-15 are scheduled for Saturday, April 29 from 10 AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 4 PM at the Richter Arts Center (Richter House), 100 Aunt Hack Road, in Danbury, adjacent to the Richter Park Public Golf Course, just off I-84, Exit 2.
Performed by an ensemble of young area actors under the direction of veteran MAR performer and board member Rob Mayette, Fairy Tale Theater features hour-long, interactive adaptations of classic tales that include plenty of audience participation, a show-related craft activity, birthday recognitions and more.

Reflecting on previous Fairy Tale Theater shows, Mayette says, “The kids really give their all in the performances. They love exploring these stories and bringing the characters to life, but the best part for them is seeing how children in the audience respond and enthusiastically follow the action.”
Performances for the 2023 season are slated for Saturday mornings July 8, 15, 22 and 29 at WorkspaceCT in Bethel, where Fairy Tale Theater has performed in previous years. The show titles are currently being finalized.
