The Borders Book Store and Cafe on Federal Road is one of the chain's stores slated for closing as part of a bankruptcy filing the company made Wednesday, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Borders is one of two large book store chains in Danbury, with the second being Barnes & Noble in the Danbury Square Mall on Backus Avenue.
Borders renovated in 2010, and rumors abounded then it might close. The most recent report says it will close 200 stores or roughly 30 percent of all its stores.
