The annual Amber Room Run from the Sun 5K, hosted by The Amber Room Colonnade, takes place tomorrow at 6:30 p.m. More than 600 runners and walkers are expected to participate, making the event a complete sellout for the fourth year in a row. All event proceeds benefit Ann’s Place, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals living with cancer and their loved ones.
The 5K course begins at The Amber Room Colonnade, travels to Candlewood Lake, and returns, offering participants scenic views of the water and local neighborhoods. The first 600 registrants will receive branded tech tees.
Following the race, participants can celebrate at a lively post-race party featuring an outdoor barbecue with burgers, veggie options, hot dogs, salads, and refreshments, including adult beverages. All food and drinks are included with race registration. The evening will also feature a DJ, awards ceremony, and more. Friends and family are encouraged to join the celebration. Non-racers can enjoy the barbecue dinner for $20 (adult) and $10 (children) at the door. Guests are welcome to bring picnic blankets or folding chairs to relax and enjoy the beautiful Amber Room grounds.
