The Congregation for Humanistic Judaism of Fairfield County, CT (CHJ), welcomes the public to our High Holiday services.

Our schedule of in-person (and livestreamed) services are as follows:

Rosh Hashanah Service, Friday, September 11th at 7:30 pm (Oneg to follow)
Yom Kippur Kol Nidre Service, Sunday, September 20th at 7:30 pm

Yom Kippur Memorial and Closing Service, Monday, September 21st at 5:00 pm.

All three services will be open to members and non-members, their families, and guests, both in-person and by livestream.
Non-members must pre-register, no later than Friday, September 4, for location details or livestream instructions.
Register on CHJ’s website. While our services are free of charge, we kindly ask non-members to consider a donation.

As the only Humanistic Jewish congregation in Connecticut, CHJ celebrates Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with a Humanistic liturgy, beautiful live music (song leader and instrumental), and inspirational poetry and readings.

Our services strike a balance between the broad stream of Judaism and a secular humanistic view of Jewish culture and customs. They are unique and spiritually uplifting and allow one to reflect on the year that has passed and the promise of the new year to come.

CHJ is affiliated with the Society for Humanistic Judaism (shj.org), part of a movement that celebrates Jewish culture and heritage through a non-theistic, human-centered approach. Our membership reflects a diverse group of people who enrich our community.

L'shana Tova!
