DANBURY, CT — The 2023 municipal election is heating up in Danbury and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

Billy Katzing, 65, is running for election as a Danbury Zoning Commission alternate as a Republican. He is a graduate of St. Peter School, Danbury High School, Norwalk Community College, and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. He is retired after a career as a federal security specialist, and serves as a seasonal patrol sergeant with the Candlewood Lake Authority. He is married to Beth, a registered nurse.
